Frequently Asked Questions
What size lamb shepherd's pie should I order?
The small feeds two and the large four to six. The potato is on top already, so it is a complete dish and needs nothing beyond a vegetable alongside if you want one.
How is it packaged?
Made in house and packed at the counter. Pack sizes are listed above, and we can pack a different amount if you call the shop.
Why is it called shepherd's pie?
Because shepherds keep sheep. The name belongs to the lamb version, and it goes back to a time when the pie was a way of using up roast leftovers under a layer of mash. The beef version took the same name later, which is where the confusion started. This is the lamb one.
