Frequently Asked Questions
How many people does chicken cacciatore feed?
The small feeds two and the large feeds four to six. It is chicken and sauce rather than a full meal, so pasta or rice under it will stretch either size further.
How is it packaged?
Made in house and packed at the counter. Pack sizes are listed above, and we can pack a different amount if you call the shop.
What does cacciatore mean?
It is Italian for hunter, and alla cacciatora means hunter style: meat braised with tomatoes, herbs and whatever vegetables were around. Rabbit and game birds came first and chicken followed later. Ours is the tomato and pepper version rather than the white wine one.
