How many people does each stroganoff feed?

The small feeds two and the large feeds four to six. Both are the sauce only, so scale the noodles or rice to the number at the table.

How is it packaged?

Made in house and packed at the counter. Pack sizes are listed above, and we can pack a different amount if you call the shop.

Does stroganoff have sour cream?

Traditionally yes. The classic Russian version is built on smetana, a heavy sour cream, and most recipes call for it. Ours is made on a beef stock base instead, which holds up better frozen, since sour cream tends to separate. Stir a spoonful in at the end, off the heat, if you want the richer version.
